A Krasnogorsk FED FS-2 Fotosniper Camera, second batch, chrome, serial no. 22988, with f/4.5 300mm lens, black, serial no. 1274, complete with gun stock, and reflex housing, body, G-VG, shutter working, lens, VG, body and housing marked '1260', lens and housing marked with the Red Army symbol, complete with lens hood, cassettes (2), and orange filter, all in maker's wooden case; the PhotoSniper-2 seems to have been produced, probably for the armed forces, in very small quantities between 1944 and 1945. The imposing reflex housing, showing a very bright, enlarged image, with adjustable diopter settings, is equipped with a gravity-based rapid return mirror; for picture-taking, the mirror release and the shutter release are activated by pulling the trigger underneath the gunstock. The FED body is attached to the reflex housing by means of a quick-release mounting, which is attached to the body.
