‘Ed (Edward)’, an Omega Teddy Bear circa 1914, the childhood bear of Madeline L Snellgrove, with blonde mohair, black boot button eyes, upturned pronounced muzzle, remains of black stitched nose and mouth, swivel head, string joints with four 1st world war brass military buttons, cloth pads, hump, internal rattle and navy wool coat with burgundy collar and buttons —12 ½in. (32cm.) high (balding and wear, joints re-sewn); and two letters from the original owner asking and delighted that her bear could find a new home
