Marsha was one of the last. Mrs Nall taught James Dean the fundamentals of his craft and instilled confidence in him to become an actor. The black dress was made from the one Adeline Nell wore to the premiere of East of Eden, and which Marsha bought at the estate sale of Mrs Nall’s effects in 1995. In the James Dean Gallery in Fairmount, a room is dedicated to his favourite teacher, Adeline Nall.
