A George V/George VI silver presentation rose bowl, in the arts and crafts style, the planished squat bowl with a reeded rim on a swept base and circular foot with pierced and engraved rose frieze, all on a matched silver and ebonised plinth base bearing the inscription The Number One Dale Street Club Flower Show Trophy presented by Sir Edmund Bushby, Chester 1937 by Hugh Wallis, 23.5cm maximum height x 21.5cm diameter, 642g. No 1 Dale Street was the former head office of Liverpool, London & Globe Insurance Company based on Dale Street, Liverpool
light surface scratches all over, discolouration in places, sits on plinth well, rim slightly misshapen, otherwise generally good condition, no obvious signs of significant damage or repair
