Sold for £750
Estimated at £400 - £600

4 Post Office Telegraphs (carbon copies), sent to Olive Brockwell (Christopher Robin’s nanny) on the occasion of her marriage from the Milnes, inscribed respectively: i) "love and every possible wish for your happiness from A. A. Milne" ii) "very best greetings, love and good luck always, Daphne Milne" iii) "Hearty Greetings, Eeyore" iv) "Moon, Pooh, Piglet, Kanga, Tigger and the others send love to their dear Nanny on her wedding", all dated 19th July 1930 - each measuring —8 ¼in. (21cm.) x 5 ¼in. (13.5cm.) - charmingly two of the telegraphs are from Moon (Christopher Robin’s nickname), Pooh and the other famous characters, Piglet here is called Biglet, as it’s believe the family called him this, a play on words as Piglet in reality is very small, hence Witney’s Piglet being called Biglet, purchased from Christie’s South Kensington, 9th June 1995, lot 278 - see Some of our Favourite Bears by Ian Pout, page 26
