A rare 1814 Welshpool handbill "Most Glorious and Good News" with breaking news of Fall of Paris, Letterpress on laid paper with Brittania watermark. Printed by John Waidson (1780-1850), published by Charles Watkin Williams-Wynn MP (1775-1850). 34.5 cm x 20.5 cm. Exhibited Sir John Soane's Museum, London "Peace Breaks Out! London & Paris in the Summer of 1814" June-Sept 2014. [Cat No 1.3]. Together with a copy of Bell's Weekly Messanger newspaper for April 11 1814 containing the news of the "Glorious Occupation of Paris, "Dethronement of Bonaparte" arrival of "Grand Duchess of Oldenburgh" in London etc
