(51cm.) high and five other photographs of Valerie by her father - this was the childhood bear of Valerie Spencer, born on the 18th February 1935 and was from the Liverpool area, her father was an amateur photographer and took the photographs; Mary Pain comes from a book by Gwynedd Rae ‘Mostly Mary’, it is known that this bear was a Farnell and they also made a bear with this name, but it is not known if Valerie just decided to call her Mary Plain or this is one of the bears sold as this character
