Discusses Bourbon Restoration. Likens Napoleon to Richard III quoting Shakespeare "My Kingdom for a Horse", describes "illuminations" and transparencies etc. Red wax seal. Cover postmarked "Chester 18 AP 1814" 36.5 cm x 23 cm. Historic folds. Small loss. Note:- Chester was one of several inland towns used as a parole depots for captured French officers. In 1814 French PoWs were freed, many had been detained since before the Battle of Trafalgar.
