A large hand-coloured print depicting the Peace Festival at Ely in Cambridgeshire 15th July 1814, etching with aquatint and original hand-colour. William Johnstone White (1780-1844) engraver and printer. Aquatint attributed to Matthew Dubourg (active 1786-1836). Published by William Anslow (fl.1813-1814). Lettered with names of 'Presidents' and 'Vice Presidents' of each table at the feast. Text beneath "To the Rt Rev the Lord Bishop The Very Rev the Dean, the Clergy, Gentlemen and Inhabitants of Ely and vicinity This Print representing the Festival given at their expence on 15th of July 1814 to near 3000 of the Poor Inhabitants of The City in commemoration of the return of PEACE, is respectfully inscribed by their obedient, humble Servant, Wm. Anslow". Small vignette engraving of Ely to bottom.
