Music and Entertainment Two Day Auction on 15th and 16th May!
The 15th May Music and Entertainment Auction contains over 600 lots with all the usual great Vinyl, Posters and other Memorabilia including many original Progressive Rock and Folk first Press Albums, a Rare Beatles 78 from India, more Reggae and Ska from the same great collection that has been sold throughout the last few M&E Auctions plus all the usual great Rock, Pop and Sixties Vinyl
On the memorabilia side there is a superb original black and white photograph of Keith Richard by Bob Carlos Clarke with his autograph dated 1986. The photograph was taken as part of a birthday commission around Keith Richard's 40th (A similar picture is in the National Portrait Gallery) There are also a number of signed items including The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones and more plus an original Andy Warhol drawing
On the instrument side there are three high quality Pearl and Sonate flutes all in Superb condition
Then on the 16th May we have the Peter Vickers Genesis Collection
Peter Vickers started collecting Genesis Records and Memorabilia in the Mid 1970s and became a well known and respected member of the Genesis fan community, writing a number of articles on the band for magazines and on line. His collection of Vinyl, CDs, DVDs, Posters, Programmes and other Memorabila is one of the best ‘One Artist’ collections I have ever seen
It includes a stock copy USA release of ‘The Silent Sun’, the Bands first single, on the Parrot Label, which until a few years ago was only thought to exist in Promo form, plus a Mono copy of their first UK album From Genesis to Revelation as well as around 200 more lots of rare vinyl from around the world
The memorabilia includes Concert programmes from as early as the Foxtrot tour, Original Posters, Signed items and much more
