The 28th July Music and Entertainment Online Auction will contain 500 lots – As well as nearly 300 Vinyl lots we also have a collection of tapes and memorabilia from the late DJ Dave Cash
As One Door Closes……
This sale sees the final items from the wonderful Richard Eyles Vinyl and CD collection. However, we are fortunate enough to have been offered a collection at least its equal in Quality if not quite in quantity and the Vinyl and CD sections in this sale see the first of many items from this collection as well.
With nearly 300 lots, The Vinyl section is made up of individual records to large Box lots and the highlights include rare Box Sets and LPs from David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Who and more, a lovely run of original Beatles Stereo LPs, a large Jazz and Blues collection and the second part of the Neil Young collection plus lots of Reggae, Soul, Prog and Sixties albums, singles and job lots.
The CD section also includes Bowie, Pink Floyd, Beatles and Who box sets
The highlight of the Memorabilia section is the Signed, Limited Edition Mick Rock book on David Bowie plus many Beatles and Neil Young items
The Dave Cash section comes next – famous for his work on Pirate Radio, Radio One, Capital and many more, Dave sadly passed away in 2016 and we have been asked to auction his reel to reel tapes which include his Radio Shows and Artist recordings, and other memorabilia. Amongst the highlights of the tapes is a Cash at Four show with a 14 minute interview with John Cleese from 1970 with the pair reprising the Dead Parrot sketch with some variations from the original (!) together with another sketch between the pair and two Cleese monologues
Dave’s Memorabilia includes Radio and Tour Jackets, personal effects, signed celebrity photos and more
The Film section contains once again a large number of James Bond items including Lobby Cards, Stills, Posters, Signed items and other memorabilia
No guitars or hi-fi this time, but we are already filling up these sections ready for the following auction on September 22nd!
