Lots 753 to 762 are original brass moulds by Richard Courtenay from the 1930s
Lots 753 to 762 are original brass moulds by Richard Courtenay from the 1930sLots 753 to 762 are original brass moulds by Richard Courtenay from the 1930s. From the collection of Peter and Gilly Greenhill, these have until recently been used in the production of Courtenay Greenhill Heraldic knight figures. HOWEVER, please note that some of the moulds have not been used recently, and are subsequently slightly difficult to open. Metal moulds for the mounted figures weigh between 4-5Kg, the foot figures less. As is to be expected, the handles are generally filthy with light surface rust, but the moulds themselves are not subject to rust. PLEASE also note that very few of the moulds produce complete figures, most will require an additional weapon, possibly a head, certainly a visor for movable visors, bases, etc.
