This is the Derek Meddings Special Effects Compression Gun Used in the James Bond 007 Movies such as Moonraker and others in the late 1970s and 1980s. It fires small plastic pellets filled with dust or in the case of Moonraker they were filled with glitter and that would explode upon impact giving the realistic effect of a bullet hitting its target.
