This exceptional private collection of British Studio Pottery brings together superb works assembled over many years by a family with a deep personal connection to the craft. Many pieces were used and enjoyed daily, reflecting the makers’ belief in pottery as functional art. Highlights include an outstanding group of works by David Leach, alongside a fine vase by Bernard Leach and pieces by makers such as Toff Milway. One especially charming moment came when David Leach visited the family home and was served tea in his own handmade pots—something he remarked he rarely saw. Rooted in close ties to Devon and Dartington Hall, the collection offers collectors a rare opportunity to acquire pottery of both quality and lived history.
