A rare 19th century Waltershausen Materialwaaren (General Store) toy shop, dark stained wood with gilt transfer decoration, the blue sign ‘Materialwaaren’ held up by two Sea-Griffin, twenty labelled drawers including cuba taback, piment, chocolade and pfeiffer, blue lined walls and shelves, a counter with brass balance scales, geometric patterned paper ‘tiled’ floor, produce including five turned wooden bottles, marble canisters and a box of cigarren, in original plain wooden box —19 ½in. (49.5cm.) wide (old glue or varnish residue around sign and counter missing back support) this actual toy appears in Faith Eaton’s book ‘The Ultimate Dolls’ House Book’ page 62 and 63
