Ten Sliding Magic Lantern Slides, seven 36x8.5cm slides depicting scenes from the 1787 novel Paul et Viginia-Paul and Virgina, numbered 1-8 (no 7 missing, three mounted in mahogany frames, with another unframed slide with similar scene and two slides in mahogany holders one showing a royal procession (311 mm x 81 mm) and other showing a comical scene of the nose grinder (296 mm x 72 mm), auction records show this lot was part of the Mervyn Heard collection auctioned at S.A.S. in 2018
