A mid19th century Kakelorum marble game, probably Erzgebirge, carved and painted wooden helter-skelter tower with seated older gentleman with patched clothing , holding a sack inscribed ‘Nur hier kann man sein Glück finden', a marble is dropped into the sack and rolls down into a circular dish with numbered depressions and floral painted centre —12in. (30.5cm.) high (missing feet, small section missing from underside of dish and slight wear) - translation - ‘Only here you can find your luck’
