A rare 1830s French paper doll ‘Le Trousseau de la Poupée’, the paper doll printed on both sides with hand-colouring, the head turned to the right with brown eyes, brown centre parted hair, underclothes, slippers and holding a rose —10 ¼in. (26cm.) high with wooden base, two sided outfits comprising six dresses, six bonnets, five hairstyles with ornate accessories, a floral headband, five collars and three scarves, in original box with illustrated hand coloured lid showing three ladies, a girl and doll in front of a dressing table, small paper label to box base written in ink ‘rykry’ — sold at Lyon & Turnball, lot 442, 24th February 2022 from the estate of the late Mary Elizabeth Stuart Harley (1925-2019)
